Overview

The ABB EYDX51-G is a PVC double-coated conduit sealing fitting from the EYD series, specifically engineered for hazardous locations. It is suitable for Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D, as well as Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G, and Class III environments. This fitting incorporates an expanded fill style, which allows for a generous 40% wire fill capacity, and features a female hub for connection. The construction utilizes robust Feraloy iron alloy and/or ductile iron, further enhanced by a dark gray PVC coating to provide superior corrosion resistance. This combination ensures dependable protection against the ingress of gases, vapors, and flames under atmospheric pressure and normal ambient temperature conditions. The EYDX51-G is designed for vertical fill applications exclusively. It is compatible with 1-1/2 inch (41 Metric) NPT trade size conduit. The fitting has a turning radius of 2-5/16 inches (58.73 mm). Its dimensions are A=6 inches and B=2-5/16 inches. The EYDX51-G is UL 1203 listed and adheres to NEMA ratings 3 and 4, as well as NEMA standard RN-1. For effective sealing, it is designed for use with Crouse-Hinds Chico A compound and Chico X fiber. The integral breather/drain component is constructed from stainless steel. This fitting is proudly manufactured in the USA.
