Overview

The ABB EYD1-G (SKU: EYD1-G) is a PVC double-coated conduit sealing fitting designed for reliable conduit protection. Constructed from durable iron with a dark gray finish, this fitting offers robust corrosion resistance suitable for industrial applications. It features a female hub compatible with 1/2-inch (16 metric) conduit sizes and a turning radius of 1.75 inches (44.45 mm), allowing for installation in tighter spaces. The EYD1-G is part of the EYD series, engineered to restrict the passage of gases, vapors, and flames at atmospheric pressure and normal ambient temperatures, and to limit explosions to the sealed-off enclosure. This drain sealing fitting is specifically designed for vertical conduit runs and low points in conduit systems to prevent condensate accumulation. Key features include a drain for continuous, automatic drainage of condensate, large openings with threaded closures for easy access to conduit hubs, integral bushings to protect conductor insulation, and tapered-tapped hubs for ground continuity. Standard materials include gray iron alloy and/or ductile iron for bodies and covers, with stainless steel for the drain. The finish on iron alloy and ductile iron is electrogalvanized and aluminum acrylic paint. This fitting is UL 1203 listed and meets NEC/CEC Class I, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups A & B requirements.
