- Prepare the conduit
Grind away any broken pipe sections to ensure a clean surface for installation.
- Insert plugs
Insert plugs into the conduit to keep it clean and dry during the rough-in process. Remove the plugs once the rough-in is complete.
- Ream the conduit
Using a reamer tool attached to a variable speed drill, ream the inner diameter of the conduit at a slow speed to avoid overheating.
- Insert and cement the fitting
Clean the socket and spigot ends, apply a uniform coat of PVC cement, insert the fitting, and rotate it 1/4 turn to secure.
- Allow cement to set
Let the cement cure according to the manufacturer's instructions before disturbing the fitting.
