Supplies needed:
CC-ISO-20-G Cable Gland, LN-ISO-20-G Locknut, Cable (within 6-12mm diameter)
- Disconnect Power
WARNING: Before beginning any installation, ensure that all power to the system or equipment is completely disconnected to prevent risk of shock.
- Prepare Mounting Hole
Ensure the mounting hole in the enclosure is clean and correctly sized for the 20mm ISO thread of the CC-ISO-20-G cable gland. The gland requires a thread length of approximately 10mm (0.394 inches).
- Insert Cable Gland
Insert the threaded body of the CC-ISO-20-G cable gland into the prepared opening from the outside of the enclosure.
- Secure with Locknut
From the inside of the enclosure, thread the LN-ISO-20-G locknut onto the gland's body. Hand-tighten, then use a wrench to snug it firmly, ensuring a secure and sealed connection to the enclosure.
- Insert Cable
Feed the desired cable through the open end of the cable gland. Verify that the cable's outer diameter falls within the gland's specified clamping range of 6mm to 12mm (0.236” to 0.473”).
- Tighten Gland for Strain Relief and Seal
Carefully tighten the gland's sealing cap until it firmly grips the cable, providing both strain relief and an IP68 rated seal. Do not overtighten to avoid damaging the cable or gland.
