- Disconnect Power
Before beginning any installation, ensure that all power to the equipment or circuit where the cable gland will be installed is completely disconnected to prevent risk of shock. This is a critical safety measure.
- Prepare Opening and Insert Gland
Prepare an appropriate 16mm ISO threaded or clearance hole in the enclosure or panel. Insert the CC-ISO-16-G cable gland into the prepared opening. Ensure the gland is properly seated.
- Secure the Cable Gland
If using a clearance hole, thread the LN-ISO-16-G locknut onto the cable gland from the inside of the enclosure. Use a wrench to tighten the locknut firmly, securing the gland in place and ensuring a tight seal to maintain NEMA type 4X and type 6 IP 68 ratings.
- Insert and Secure Cable
Insert the cable, ensuring its diameter is within the gland's clamping range of 0.197” (5mm) to 0.394” (10mm), through the cable gland. Hand-tighten the gland's cap to provide strain relief and maintain the environmental seal. Avoid overtightening to prevent damage to the cable or gland.
