The ABB BC3-G PVC double-coated mogul conduit body is a heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant fitting designed for industrial electrical installations requiring straight thru-feed conduit access. Constructed from Class 30 gray iron with an electrogalvanized finish, the BC3-G provides superior strength and durability in harsh environments such as manufacturing plants, chemical facilities, and power generation sites. The body and cover feature a double-coated PVC layer—nominal 0.002" (2 mil) blue urethane interior coating and 0.040" (40 mil) exterior PVC coating—delivering exceptional resistance to moisture, chemicals, and abrasion. This double-coating system ensures extended service life and reliable performance in wet locations, meeting UL 514B, CSA C22.2 No.18, and Federal Specification W-C-586d standards. The straight thru-feed design accommodates 1-inch (27 metric) conduit, providing ample space for pulling large conductors, preventing sharp bends, and facilitating splices and taps. Supplied with encapsulated stainless steel cover screws and a molded integral O-ring seal on the cover for Form 8 bodies, the BC3-G ensures a secure, watertight connection. Standard dark gray color with custom options available (white, light blue). Ideal for conduit systems requiring long openings for stiff conductors, maintenance access, and future system modifications.
