How to Install the AFM-4-ALM Access Floor Module
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the AFM-4-ALM Access Floor Module, including mounting, wiring, and initial setup.

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Caulking gun
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Sealant, Conduit and fittings
- Cut the hole for the floor box
Cut a hole in the raised panel measuring 7-15/16” x 7-15/16” to accommodate the AFM-4-ALM.
- Install the AFH Bracket
Install the AFH Bracket on the raised floor panel by placing it in the center of the cutout opening and bending the legs around the edge to secure it.
- Apply sealant
Before lowering the AFM Box into the hole, apply a generous bead of caulk or sealant to the underside of the Carpet Flange to prevent water entry.
- Lower the AFM into the hole
Carefully lower the AFM into the cut hole, ensuring that the Swing Arms are positioned against the sides of the Box.
- Secure the AFM
Using a Phillips screwdriver, tighten the 2-1/4” stainless steel screws threaded through the Swing Arms until they engage the underside of the flooring.
- Install conduit and fittings
Assemble the conduit and fittings to the Floor Box in accordance with National and Local Electrical Code requirements.
- Activate the module
Open the AFM Lid to access the inside of the box, attach devices as required, and install all wiring in compliance with electrical codes.
