Supplies needed:
4D nails, Mud box cover
- Mount the base ring
Attach the base ring to the mounting surface using four (4) 4D nails. Ensure the 'Top' portion of the base ring is facing upward.
- Remove knockouts
Use a screwdriver to strike the knockout locater bar above and below the tab to remove the desired knockouts. Ensure to use a swift blow with sidecutters or a hammer.
- Attach the mud box cover
Orient the mud box cover on a 45° axis and insert the cover tabs into the base ring mounting flange clips. Press down until the tabs engage for a flush fit.
