4D nails, Mud box cover

  1. Mount the base ring

    Attach the base ring to the mounting surface using four (4) 4D nails. Ensure the 'Top' portion of the base ring is facing upward.

  2. Remove knockouts

    Use a screwdriver to strike the knockout locators above the locater bar and below the tab to remove the knockouts. Ensure to use a swift blow with sidecutters or a hammer.

  3. Install the mud box cover

    Orient the mud box cover on a 45° axis and insert the cover tabs into the base ring mounting flange clips. Press down until the tabs engage for a flush fit.
