How to Install the 665-SC Floor Box

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the 665-SC floor box, ensuring proper mounting and activation.

Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter

Supplies needed:

Mounting screws, Terminal connectors

  1. Remove the top plate

    Loosen the four screws on the top plate and rotate the top away from the screws to remove it.

  2. Install conduit connectors

    Install any necessary conduit connectors as per your installation requirements.

  3. Replace and secure the top plate

    Replace the top plate and tighten the four screws to secure it in place.

  4. Level the box

    Adjust the box so that the top edge is 1/16” below the screed line using the four leveling screws provided.

  5. Activate the box

    Locate the box and remove concrete from the access frame. Break off the two plastic retainers and use the knockout to remove the plate.

  6. Install devices

    Install devices in accordance with the National Electrical Code (N.E.C.) or prevailing local codes.

  7. Place the non-metallic tunnel

    Insert the non-metallic tunnel into the box to separate services, removing selected tabs for feed-through as needed.

  8. Secure device panels

    Install the device panels by locating the bottom edge in the locking tabs of the non-metallic tunnel and securing the top with the two #6-32 screws provided.

  9. Complete activation with cover

    Finish the installation by placing the 665-CST cover on the box and securing it with the four #8-32 screws provided.
