Estimated time: 15m
Tools needed:
Hotstick
Supplies needed:
Lubricant, Mounting hardware
- Connect to System Ground and Lubricate
Connect the flexible lead of the grounding plug to system ground, ensuring enough slack to operate with a hotstick. Clean the interface of the grounding plug and lubricate this surface using only the supplied lubricant or ELASTIMOLD approved lubricants. Do not substitute other lubricants, as they may be harmful to the product and its mating products. Always replace the protective cap when the grounding plug is not in use.
- Secure in Parking Stand
Attach a hotstick to the eye of the grounding plug carriage assembly. Slide the carriage assembly into the parking stand.
- Ground De-energized Elbow Connector
Follow the applicable instructions for the (K)655LR /755LR to determine that the elbow connector is de-energized before removing it from the apparatus bushing. Remove the de-energized elbow connector from the apparatus bushing and place it onto the grounding plug. DANGER: DO NOT REMOVE THE ELBOW CONNECTOR IF IT IS ENERGIZED, as this will result in serious or fatal injury.
