The ABB Copper C-Tap (SKU: 54715) is a heavy-duty compression connector designed for reliable electrical connections in industrial applications. Constructed from high-conductivity copper alloy, this C-Tap offers premium electrical properties and high-strength performance. It is suitable for use with solid and stranded copper Code conductors, serving as a wire joint, two-way splice, or for tapping into unbroken continuous mains. The wide wire range-taking capability, accommodating main conductors from 6-8 AWG and branch conductors from 8-12 AWG, minimizes inventory requirements. Rated for 600V and a temperature of 90°C, this connector ensures consistent reliability with its heavy wall construction, preventing joint relaxation after installation. The "C" shape design reduces installation time. This specific model features Die Code 29 and a gray color code for easy identification. It is UL486A Listed as a Wire Connector and UL467 Listed for Grounding & Bonding. Note: UL/CSA certification is for AWG wire only; consult manufacturer for applications greater than 2000V. Dimensions are 9/16" (L) x 5/8" (H).
