This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing the New Work Ceiling Fan and Light Fixture Bar Hanger securely in your ceiling.

Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Wood screws, Lockwashers
- Expand the bar hanger
Adjust the bar hanger to match the spacing between the wood ceiling joists. If drywall is thicker than 1/2", break off the locating tabs to ensure the box is flush with the drywall.
- Secure the hanger temporarily
Use a hammer to strike the engaging spurs into the wood ceiling joist to provide temporary support for the hanger.
- Drill pilot holes
Drill four 7/64" diameter pilot holes 3/8" deep using the holes in the end plates of the hanger as a template. Secure the hanger with the wood screws provided.
- Attach the box support bracket
Align and fasten the box support bracket along the hanger where the outlet box will be mounted.
- Install the ceiling fan box
Align the holes on either side of the bottom center knockout of the ceiling fan box with the holes in the box support bracket. Use the provided #10-32 x 5/8" fan mounting screws with lockwashers to secure the box.
