Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Drill, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Wasp guards, Adapters, Gasket
- Turn off power
Ensure that the electrical power to the installation area is turned off to prevent electrical hazards.
- Install wasp guards
Remove the protective backing from the adhesive side of the rubber wasp guards. Position the adhesive side on the outside of the curved rib in the port opening and secure it to the inside of the rib. Repeat for the second wasp guard.
- Determine desired adapter
Choose the appropriate adapter based on your installation needs: use the round/switch adapter for switches, the round 1-3/8" adapter for round receptacles (removing the inner circle), or the duplex adapter for duplex receptacles.

Attach the base to the electrical box using the receptacle screws. Ensure the base is positioned with the cover hinge on top and the open ports on the bottom. Tighten screws until heads extend 5/8" from the receptacle strap face.
- Install cover
Align the cover with the base and insert the hinge pin through the hinge holes of both the cover and base to secure them together.
- Seal irregular surfaces
If installing on an irregular surface, apply caulk or sealant around the base to prevent water entry.
