Thomas & Betts Sealing Locknut (e.g., 142SL), Conduit, Rigid conduit locknut or bushing, Enclosure
- Thread Sealing Locknut onto Conduit
Thread the sealing locknut onto the conduit until it reaches the end of the conduit's threads, as illustrated in Figure 1 of the original guide.
- Insert Conduit into Enclosure
Insert the conduit, with the sealing locknut already threaded on, into the entry point of the enclosure. Ensure the sealing locknut is positioned on the outside of the enclosure, as shown in Figure 2.
- Secure and Seal the Assembly
On the inside of the enclosure, install a rigid conduit locknut or a bushing. Tighten the entire assembly firmly to ensure a secure seal and proper ground connection.
