Installing the ABB TPLUGA16 Lug Adapter Kit
Step-by-step guide for pre-mounting cabling or bussing using the TPLUGA16 kit.
Estimated time: 30m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wrench set, Wire stripper, Crimping tool (if using crimp terminals)
Supplies needed:
ABB TPLUGA16 Lug Adapter Kit, Lugs or crimp-type connector terminals (ordered separately), Cabling or bussing
- Prepare the Bus Structure
Ensure the bus structure is de-energized and properly isolated. Identify the mounting points for the adapter kit on the bus structure.
- Mount the Adapter Kit
Secure the TPLUGA16 adapter kit to the bus structure using the provided hardware. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Connect Cabling or Bussing
Prepare your cables or bussing according to the terminal type (lugs or crimp connectors). Connect the prepared cables or bussing to the adapter kit terminals. If using crimp terminals, ensure they are properly crimped onto the wires.
- Verify Connections
Double-check all connections to ensure they are secure and correctly oriented. Confirm that the correct number of cables per pole is used as per specifications.
- Prepare for Breaker Mounting
With the cabling/bussing pre-mounted and secured to the adapter, the circuit breaker can now be mounted to the bus structure. This completes the pre-wiring phase.
