How to Install the M22001-W Audio Handset Indoor Station
Installation guide for mounting and wiring the M22001-W audio handset indoor station.
Estimated time: 30m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Flush-mounted box (optional)
- Prepare for Installation
Ensure you have the necessary electrical knowledge and experience. Disconnect the mains power supply before starting any installation work. Follow the 'five safety rules' (DIN VDE 0105, EN 50110): disconnect from power, secure against re-connection, ensure no voltage, connect to earth, and cover or barricade adjacent live parts. Use suitable personal protective clothing and tools.
- Mount the Device
Affix the bottom of the M22001-W to the wall using the provided screw holes, or to an existing flush-mounted box. Ensure the installation height is appropriate. If using a flush-mounted box, ensure it is compatible with the device dimensions.
- Connect Wiring
Connect the wiring according to the provided illustration. Ensure the insulated section of the cable end does not exceed 10 mm. Do not install low-voltage and 100-240 V cables together in the same flush-mounted socket. Avoid installing system bus wires with 100-240 V wires. Use only two wires for the system bus in a multi-core cable and do not run incoming and outgoing bus wires in the same cable.
- Configure Settings
Set the addresses for the preferred outdoor stations and the address for the indoor station using the jumpers. Refer to Chapter 4.3, 'Adjusting the device,' for detailed instructions on jumper settings, including master/slave configuration and terminal resistor settings if applicable.
- Complete Mounting
Latch the upper part of the M22001-W onto its bottom part. Place the upper side of the device on the lock-in lugs and then press the bottom side onto the bottom part of the device until it is caught by the clamp. The installation of the indoor station is now complete.
