Overview

The ABB NEMA 3R Outdoor Pad Mount Enclosure, SKU AB373, is engineered for reliable outdoor electrical power distribution and control equipment protection. Constructed from heavy-duty 14-gauge galvanized steel, this enclosure features a durable Pulvalar 115 powder coating for enhanced corrosion resistance. It meets NEMA/EEMAC Type 3R and IEC 60529 IP32 standards, ensuring protection against rain, sleet, and snow. The design includes a standard padlockable handle for security and a robust 3-point latching system for a secure seal. Overlapping doors eliminate the need for a centerpost, providing full-width access. The open bottom design incorporates a pre-punched mounting hole flange for straightforward pad mounting. A drip edge overhang and a louvered overhang with a closure plate prevent water ingress. This enclosure is UL 50, 50E Listed and cUL Listed per CSA C22.2 No 94. It is equipped with studs for mounting optional panels and features a welded body construction for rigidity. Lifting tabs are included for safe handling, and bonding provisions are present on each door, secured with bolted hinges. The standard finish is RAL 7035 light-gray polyester powder paint. Optional panels are available in white. ABB offers customization services for specific project requirements. This enclosure is manufactured in the US.
