How to Install the SPECTRACOOL Slim Fit Air Conditioner
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and wiring the SPECTRACOOL Slim Fit Air Conditioner, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
Estimated time: 45m
Tools needed:
Screwdriver, Wire strippers, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Terminal connectors, Gasket kit
- Inspect the air conditioner
Verify the air conditioner's functionality before mounting. Ensure it has been upright for at least five minutes if it was previously horizontal.
- Mount the air conditioner
Use the gasket kit to install the gasket on the air conditioner. Secure the unit to the enclosure using the supplied grub screws, washers, and nuts, ensuring not to damage the gasket.
- Connect the power supply
Loosen the screw on the evaporator access panel and remove it. Route the power supply wire through the strain relief, connect it to the terminal block as labeled, and reinstall the access panel.
- Secure the wiring
Tighten the screw on the strain relief to secure the power supply wire and ensure it does not contact the internal fan.
- Test the air conditioner
Apply power to the unit. The evaporator blower should start running. Set the cooling controller to a temperature below the ambient temperature to operate the compressor.
- Adjust the controller settings
Adjust the cooling controller to the desired cabinet temperature. The factory default settings are 35°C for turn-on and 30°C for turn-off.
