Overview

Enhance your cable management system with the nVent Quick Tray Pro Divider Strip (SKU: QTPDS6). Designed specifically for the nVent Quick Tray Pro series, this divider strip provides robust separation of cables within a single tray, ensuring optimal organization, safety, and thermal management. Constructed from durable, light gray steel, the QTPDS6 measures 6.00 inches in height, 1.00 inch in depth, and a generous 60.00 inches in length, offering substantial coverage for diverse installation needs. This divider strip is an essential component for any professional seeking to segregate different types of cabling, such as power, data, or low-voltage circuits. Furthermore, proper cable separation facilitates improved airflow, which is critical for dissipating heat generated by high-density cable runs, extending the lifespan of your equipment and preventing costly downtime. The nVent Quick Tray Pro Divider Strip is engineered for straightforward installation. To securely fasten the divider strip to the Quick Tray Pro cable tray, it is recommended to utilize the QTPSSW3/QTPSSW3BLK Splice Washer and the QTPBNWK/QTPBNWKBLK Splice Kit for each strip. These accessories ensure a reliable and secure connection, maintaining the structural integrity of your cable management solution even in demanding industrial environments. The light gray finish offers a clean, professional aesthetic that blends seamlessly with most industrial settings. Key benefits of using the nVent QTPDS6 Divider Strip include: * **Superior Cable Segregation:** Effectively separates power, data, and communication cables to prevent interference and ensure optimal performance. * **Enhanced Thermal Management:** Promotes better airflow within the tray, reducing heat buildup and extending equipment life. * **Increased Safety and Compliance:** Helps meet industry standards for cable management and electrical safety. * **Durable Construction:** Made from high-quality steel for long-lasting performance in harsh environments. * **Easy Integration:** Designed to work seamlessly with the nVent Quick Tray Pro cable tray system. How to Install and Configure QUICK TRAY PRO™ Cable Tray System

This guide provides instructions for cutting, bending, and connecting QUICK TRAY PRO™ Cable Tray sections to create custom cable management pathways. It covers essential modification and assembly techniques.

Tools needed:

Hoffman side action bolt cutter

Supplies needed:

QUICK TRAY PRO™ Cable Tray sections, Splice Kit (QTPBNWK/QTPBNWKBLK), Splice Washer (QTPSSW3/QTPSSW3BLK), Universal Splice Bar (QTPUS10/QTPUS10BLK), T-Connection or 90o Splice Bar (QTP90TKIT/QTP90TKITBLK)

  1. Prepare Cable Tray Sections by Cutting

Use the Hoffman side action bolt cutter to cut QUICK TRAY PRO™ Cable Tray sections to the desired length and configuration. For straight cuts, position the cutting jaws on the cradle wire and cut side wires at an angle away from the new end. Turn the tray over and cut the bottom wires similarly. Ensure one clean cut to minimize sharp edges and protect against corrosion.

  2. Form Bends or Changes in Level

To create a 90-degree bend, identify the desired bend location and cut the side and bottom wires according to the specific cutting pattern for your tray width (refer to the manual for diagrams). Bend the tray smoothly until the inside edges meet. For large radius bends or changes in level, remove specific side and bottom wires as indicated in the manual, then bend the tray to the desired angle.

  3. Connect and Secure Tray Sections

Join cable tray sections, secure bends, or assemble tees and elbows using Splice Kits (QTPBNWK/QTPBNWKBLK) and Splice Washers (QTPSSW3/QTPSSW3BLK). For added support or specific configurations like elbows or tees, utilize Universal Splice Bars (QTPUS10/QTPUS10BLK) or T-Connection Splice Bars (QTP90TKIT/QTP90TKITBLK). Ensure all connections are aligned correctly and fastened securely.
