How to Install and Configure QUICK TRAY PRO™ Cable Tray System
This guide provides instructions for cutting, bending, and connecting QUICK TRAY PRO™ Cable Tray sections to create custom cable management pathways. It covers essential modification and assembly techniques.

QUICK TRAY PRO™ Cable Tray sections, Splice Kit (QTPBNWK/QTPBNWKBLK), Splice Washer (QTPSSW3/QTPSSW3BLK), Universal Splice Bar (QTPUS10/QTPUS10BLK), T-Connection or 90o Splice Bar (QTP90TKIT/QTP90TKITBLK)
- Prepare Cable Tray Sections by Cutting
Use the Hoffman side action bolt cutter to cut QUICK TRAY PRO™ Cable Tray sections to the desired length and configuration. For straight cuts, position the cutting jaws on the cradle wire and cut side wires at an angle away from the new end. Turn the tray over and cut the bottom wires similarly. Ensure one clean cut to minimize sharp edges and protect against corrosion.
- Form Bends or Changes in Level
To create a 90-degree bend, identify the desired bend location and cut the side and bottom wires according to the specific cutting pattern for your tray width (refer to the manual for diagrams). Bend the tray smoothly until the inside edges meet. For large radius bends or changes in level, remove specific side and bottom wires as indicated in the manual, then bend the tray to the desired angle.
- Connect and Secure Tray Sections
Join cable tray sections, secure bends, or assemble tees and elbows using Splice Kits (QTPBNWK/QTPBNWKBLK) and Splice Washers (QTPSSW3/QTPSSW3BLK). For added support or specific configurations like elbows or tees, utilize Universal Splice Bars (QTPUS10/QTPUS10BLK) or T-Connection Splice Bars (QTP90TKIT/QTP90TKITBLK). Ensure all connections are aligned correctly and fastened securely.
