How to Safely Handle and Install Large Enclosures
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for safely handling and installing large enclosures to prevent injury and ensure proper setup.

Supplies needed:
3000 lb-rated chain or strap, Mounting screws
- Prepare the area
Ensure the route for moving the enclosure is clear of obstructions and that all workers are positioned at a safe distance, more than the overall height of the enclosure.
- Secure the enclosure
Insert a 3000 lb-rated chain or strap through the eye bolts on top of the enclosure and securely fasten it to the forklift mast assembly to prevent tipping during transportation.
- Lift the enclosure
Using the forklift, lift the enclosure a minimum distance so that the skid is just clear of the floor. Ensure the load is secure and check the tension on the chain or strap.
- Transport the enclosure
Drive the forklift slowly with the enclosure, keeping the forks as low to the ground as possible while avoiding contact with fixed objects.
- Mount the enclosure
Once in position, secure the enclosure to the mounting surface using the provided mounting screws, ensuring it is level and firmly attached.
