Overview

The Woodhead SR403 Aero-Motive® Self-Contained Slip Ring is engineered for reliable power and signal transmission in industrial applications. This unit features a robust cast aluminum construction with a durable yellow powder-coat finish, ensuring longevity in demanding environments. It boasts a NEMA 4 rating, providing superior protection against water and dust ingress, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations. The SR403 is designed with a 1" NPT primary cord entry and utilizes a 600V rated SOOW cord/cable. The collector ring itself is rated for 30A, and the unit accommodates 4 AWG wire with 3 conductors. A key feature is the containerized, easily replaceable main spring, simplifying maintenance and reducing downtime. The four-roller cable guide is adjustable every 5° over a 270° arc, allowing for precise configuration to match specific application needs. The working end provides flying leads, and a ratchet lock mechanism can be easily disengaged as needed. Tension adjustment is straightforward, and a large, easy-access junction box facilitates wiring. An optional pivot base, allowing for pivoting up to 330°, is also available to enhance installation flexibility. This slip ring is ideal for applications requiring continuous rotation and power delivery, such as material handling equipment, automated machinery, and rotating platforms.
