The Woodhead Aero-Motive® SR208 Self-Contained Slip Ring (SKU: SR208) is engineered for reliable power and signal transmission in continuous rotation applications. Built with a durable cast aluminum housing and a protective yellow powder-coat finish, this unit is NEMA 4 rated, offering robust protection against water and dust for indoor and outdoor use. It features a 30A collector ring rating with 8 conductors, each utilizing 12 AWG SOOW-rated cable (600V). The primary cord entry is a 1" NPT, and the unit includes a large, easy-access junction box. Installation is simplified with a containerized main spring for safe and easy replacement, and a ratchet lock for quick disengagement. The four-roller cable guide is adjustable every 5° over a 270° arc, with an optional pivot base allowing for 330° rotation, ensuring precise alignment for diverse applications. Common applications include wind turbines, robotics, automated machinery, aerospace, defense, material handling, and industrial processing equipment requiring continuous electrical connectivity.
