Overview

The Woodhead Watertite® Male Receptacle (SKU: 59W48) is designed for reliable power in wet locations and harsh industrial environments. This 2-pole, 3-wire connector features a NEMA 6-20 configuration and a 250V rating, making it suitable for heavy-duty applications. Its multiple seal plug/connector interface resists water and vapor from high-pressure washdowns up to 1000psi, ensuring protection against contaminants. The receptacle includes a single flip lid for convenient access and secure sealing. Terminal screws are color-coded, tri-drive, and preset for easy wiring. Floating blade construction ensures self-alignment and optimal electrical connection. The captive, tri-drive stainless steel speed screw facilitates assembly and longevity. This device is built with NEo-TEX® Paracril OZO rubber for the outer housing and grommet, Lexan* for the coverplate and closure caps, and nickel-plated brass for plug blades and connector contacts. Mounting holes on either side of the connector allow for direct mounting to troughs, panels or wireways with 1/4†bolts. The body is made from aluminum alloy wrapped in a layer of plastisol insulation. Each dual-sided port is pre-loaded with an oxide inhibitor, with removable access plugs over the hex screws used to tighten the connections. Installs with a hex key and torque wrench, without any tape or additional supplies. Designed for use in a wide range of splicing applications, including installation in cable trays, panel boards, ducts, raceways or troughs.
