Overview

The Woodhead Watertite® Extreme series connector (SKU: 29W82) is a 4-pole/5-wire, NEMA L22-30 rated device designed for three-phase 480V applications in wet and harsh industrial environments. This locking blade connector features a corrosion-resistant nickel-plated brass contact system and a NEo-TEX® Paracril OZO rubber grommet for superior watertight sealing up to 1000psi high-pressure washdowns. The F4 cord grip body size accommodates 1" diameter cables with a three-piece strain relief system that prevents cord damage while ensuring strain relief. The connector meets NEMA 1, 3, 4, 4X, 5, 6, 6P, and 12 ratings, as well as IEC IP55-67 standards for ingress protection, making it suitable for food processing, petrochemical, and manufacturing facilities. Key features include color-coded ¼" terminal screws preset in open position, tri-drive stainless steel speed screws for tool-free assembly, and a transparent wiring guide to verify proper strand placement before securing wires. The floating blade construction provides self-alignment for better mechanical and electrical connections, minimizing wear and heat generation.
