Overview

The Woodhead Watertite® Locking Blade Connector (SKU: 29W76) is engineered for superior performance and reliability in demanding industrial environments. This robust connector features a 3-pole, 4-wire configuration and NEMA L16-30 rating, ensuring compatibility with standard 3-phase, 480V industrial power systems. Its Watertite® Extreme series design offers exceptional durability and sealing capabilities, making it ideal for wet locations and applications exposed to moisture, dust, and corrosive elements. The connector resists vapor and water from high-pressure washdown up to 1000psi. Key features include color-coded ¼" terminal screws preset in an open position for easy wiring, and tri-drive screw terminals compatible with straight blade, Phillips, and square-drive screwdrivers. The floating blade construction provides self-alignment for improved mechanical and electrical connections, minimizing wear and heat generation. A transparent wiring guide ensures all wire strands are properly seated before securing. The captive, tri-drive head, stainless steel speed screw facilitates easy assembly and longevity. A three-piece strain relief seals the cord without damage. Constructed with NEo-TEX® Paracril OZO rubber for the outer housing and grommet, nickel-plated brass for plug blades and connector contacts, stainless steel for face screws, nylon for the face insert, and brass for the wire saddle clamp. Receptacle coverplate and closure caps are Lexan*. It meets NEMA ratings 1, 3, 4, 4X, 5, 6, 6P, and 12, and IEC ratings IP55, 56, 57, 65, 66, and 67. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 75°C continuous. Temperature rise is a maximum of 30°C at full rated current after 50 cycles of overload at 150% of rated current with a 75% power factor. The cord grip body size is F4 with a 1" opening. UL File No. for Plug and Connector is E10176, and for Receptacle is E68122. CSA File No. is LR6837. NSF File No. is NSF/ANSI/3-A 14159-1. This connector is suitable for manufacturing plants, food and beverage processing, construction sites, and outdoor power distribution.
