Overview

The Woodhead Super-Safeway® Connector (SKU 2982) is a robust industrial wiring device designed for 3-phase, 480V applications. It features a 4-pole, 5-wire configuration and adheres to the NEMA L22-30 standard for locking-type connections. Constructed with a NEo-TEX® Paracril OZO rubber body, it offers superior resistance to abrasion, chemical exposure, and temperature extremes, operating effectively between -40°C and 75°C. The connector utilizes nickel-plated brass for plug blades and contacts, ensuring reliable electrical conductivity. Its floating blade construction provides self-alignment for optimal mechanical and electrical connections, minimizing wear and heat generation. Tri-drive wire screw terminals accept straight blade, Phillips, and square-drive screwdrivers, simplifying wiring. A transparent wiring guide aids in verifying wire strand placement. The captive, tri-drive head, stainless steel speed screw ensures easy assembly and longevity. A two-piece cord-clamp strain relief with tri-drive screws secures the cord firmly. This connector is rated for a maximum 30°C temperature rise at full rated current after 50 cycles of overload at 150% of rated current with a 75% power factor. It is UL recognized (E10176) and CSA certified (LR6837).
