Overview

The Woodhead Super-Safeway® Connector (SKU: 2776) is a robust industrial connector designed for 480V, 3-phase applications. It features a 3-pole, 4-wire configuration and adheres to the NEMA L16-20 standard. The integrated locking blade mechanism ensures a secure connection, preventing accidental disconnections and enhancing operational safety. Constructed from NEo-TEX® Paracril OZO rubber, this connector offers superior resistance to abrasion, chemicals, and extreme temperatures (-40°C to 75°C continuous). Its nickel-plated brass plug blades and contacts provide excellent conductivity. The tri-drive wire screw terminals accommodate straight blade, Phillips, and square-drive screwdrivers for easy wiring, and the floating blade construction ensures self-alignment for optimal mechanical and electrical connections. A transparent wiring guide allows for verification of wire strands before securing. The captive, stainless steel speed screw facilitates assembly, and the two-piece cord-clamp strain relief ensures a firm grip on the cord. This connector is ideal for powering heavy-duty industrial machinery, plant power distribution, construction equipment, and temporary power needs where electrical integrity is critical.
