How to Install the Panduit G5 Power Distribution Unit (PDU)
This guide provides step-by-step instructions for installing and configuring the Panduit G5 PDU in a data center rack.

Phillips screwdriver, Torx screwdriver, Multimeter
Supplies needed:
Mounting screws, Cage nuts, Ground bonding cable
- Mount the PDU
Align and install the mounting buttons with the screw holes on the sides of the PDU. Insert the mounting buttons into the keyhole slots on the PDU mounting bracket in the rack.
- Connect the Ground Bonding Cable
Attach the ground bonding cable to the external ground bonding point located on the chassis of the PDU. Ensure it is securely fastened to a known earthed reference terminal.
- Connect the PDU to Power Source
Turn off the feed circuit breaker. Connect the PDU to an appropriately rated branch circuit. Turn on the feed circuit breaker and verify the OLED screen displays the main menu.
- Configure the PDU
Access the Web interface to configure the input cord type. Navigate to the System Management page, select 'Set Input Cord', choose the correct cord type, and save the settings.
