When heat is applied, the tubing shrinks to its original unexpanded diameter, molding itself tightly around irregular shapes. Each kit is housed in an extremely durable polypropylene case with heat-sealed hinges, offering superior organization and convenience. The inside lid is clearly labeled for easy recognition of the included sizes. This kit is UL Listed and CSAus certified, rated for 1000V and a temperature range of 121-135 °C. It is qualified to ANSI C119.1-1986 for underground splicing. The kit contains the following heavy-wall heat shrink sizes: * **HWHS8-2-6:** Seals 8-2 AWG wire, with a recovered expanded O.D. of 0.550" and a maximum conductor O.D. of 0.410". * **HWHS6-40-6:** Seals 6-4/0 AWG wire, with a recovered expanded O.D. of 0.860" and a maximum conductor O.D. of 0.690". * **HWHS2-500-6:** Seals 2 AWG - 500 MCM wire, with a recovered expanded O.D. of 1.220" and a maximum conductor O.D. of 1.060". * **HWHS20-750-6:** Seals 2/0 AWG - 750 MCM wire, with a recovered expanded O.D. of 1.730" and a maximum conductor O.D. of 1.300". Each sleeve has a minimum seal length of 2.000" per side. These kits are suitable for use on standard poly- or elastomeric-insulated/jacketed cables, including those with aluminum or steel armoring.
