Overview

The NSI AL2-38 is a high-conductivity aluminum compression lug designed for reliable electrical connections. Manufactured by NSI Industries, this standard barrel lug is constructed from premium aluminum tubing, ensuring excellent conductivity. It features a center stop to guarantee proper cable installation, preventing over-insertion and ensuring a secure termination. For enhanced durability and corrosion resistance, the AL2-38 is electro-tin plated. This plating also contributes to low contact resistance, crucial for efficient power transfer. Each lug is clearly marked with its die index and color-coded for quick and easy identification, streamlining installation and inventory management. The AL2-38 is rated for 35KV maximum when properly installed according to cable manufacturer specifications, making it suitable for medium-voltage applications. It is cULus Listed and UL486A/B Listed for wire connectors, meeting stringent safety and performance standards. The temperature rating is 90°C, and it is compatible with NSI crimp tools N1240 and N121D. The voltage rating is 600V maximum, or 2000V maximum per UL486B. This lug is designed for 2 AWG wire range and features a 3/8" bolt size for secure mounting. Its barrel outer diameter is 0.532 inches, and the inner diameter is 0.311 inches. The overall length (L) is 1.50 inches, width (W) is 0.709 inches, tang length (A) is 0.378 inches, and tang length (B) is 0.878 inches. The barrel length (B1) is 1.20 inches, tang thickness (C) is 0.217 inches, and the mounting hole diameter (E) is 0.409 inches. Each standard carton contains 24 units. Proudly made in the USA.
