Overview

The NSI Industries Mighty-Merge® Transition Fitting (SKU: 5157-DC) offers a streamlined solution for connecting 3/4" Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) to Duplex AC/MC/FMC cables. This metal coupling is designed to eliminate the need for separate junction boxes, significantly reducing installation time and material costs. Leveraging a TITE-BITE® Connector design, it securely holds flexible metal cable with a single screw, simplifying the termination process. The formed steel body features a carefully rounded bushing for cable protection. This fitting is U.L. Listed as a grounding means under NEC 350-5, with a cable opening range of max. .656" and min. .250". It is compatible with armored cable and flexible metal conduit, providing a robust connection. The Mighty-Merge® system is engineered for efficiency, allowing installers to complete connections in approximately one-third the time and with one-third the material cost compared to traditional methods. This product is distributed by Gross Automation.

Specifications

Application
Compression type transitional fitting. The 5157-DC is used to securely join EMT to two AC/MC/MCI-A/HCF or 3/8" Aluminum or Steel FMC/RWFMC. A labor savings, compared to the traditional junction box or fitting assembly installation. When using AC/MC/FMC cable simply remove the armor and expose the conductors to the desired length needed to reach the device box or enclosure. The inspection holes will provide a visual end stop for the cable or flex conduit. The use of anti short bushings is recommended. Tighten the steel strap screws between the armor convolutions, and compression nut for the 3/4" EMT conduit. Suitable for MC-PCS cable. Patented.
