Overview

The NSI Industries 289-XS is a 3-1/2" EMT/Rigid to FMC Transition Coupling designed to bridge electrical metallic tubing (EMT) or rigid conduit to flexible metal conduit (FMC). This UL-listed coupling (UL File No. E 1383) and CSA-certified (CSA File No. 2884) provides a secure, code-compliant connection for transitioning between conduit types in commercial, industrial, and utility applications. The formed steel body with a malleable iron armor gripping saddle ensures stable cable insertion and retention, meeting NEC and CSA standards for grounding and hazardous locations. Ideal for dropping down to switchgear or adapting conduit runs where flexibility is required. The armor gripping saddle remains open during cable insertion for ease of use, and the TITE-BITE® Connector design holds flexible metal cable firmly with a single screw. Compatible with Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 rigid PVC conduit, this coupling is a reliable solution for demanding electrical installations.
