Overview

The NSi Industries 2021 is a 1/2" conduit mount photocontrol featuring a 180° swivel design for precise light sensing. Engineered with a durable, impact and vandal-resistant Lexan® housing, this unit ensures longevity in various environmental conditions. Its conformal coated cadmium sulphide photocell is designed to resist moisture and airborne contaminants, providing reliable operation by responding to the light spectrum similar to the human eye. The 2021 offers adjustable ON/OFF settings, turning ON between 1 to 5 foot candles (fc) and OFF between 3 to 15 fc, with an easily accessible slide cover for adjustment without tools. A built-in time delay of up to two minutes prevents false switching caused by transient light sources like passing vehicles or lightning. This photocontrol meets ANSI/UL773A standards and is rated for 120V AC, supporting a 2000W tungsten load, 1800VA ballast load, and 600VA LED load. It includes three color-coded, #16AWG wire leads, each a minimum of 6" long and rated for 105 °C. The unit has a power consumption averaging under 1 watt and operates within a temperature range of -40 °F to +140 °F (-40 °C to +60 °C). In case of failure, the unit defaults to the ON position for safety. Applications include flood lamps, patio lamps, and decorative lighting, particularly where precise aiming of the photocell is essential to avoid artificial light interference. The NSi 2021 comes with a 5-year warranty.
