Overview
The ABB ACS800-17-2940-7 regenerative drive (SKU: ACS800-17-2940-7+B054+H359+L501+Q964) is a high-capacity industrial drive designed for heavy-duty applications requiring precise motor control and energy efficiency. With a 2600 HP output and 2362A current rating, this drive operates at 575VAC (525-690V range) and features a NEMA 1 / UL Type 1 filtered enclosure (IP42) for reliable operation in harsh environments. The floor-mounted design includes a local or remote LCD display and keypad for intuitive operation, along with a digital I/O extension module for enhanced connectivity.
This regenerative drive is ideal for applications such as large-scale pumps, fans, compressors, and conveyors where energy recovery and motor protection are critical. Its 3-phase input and output configuration, combined with a 2xR8i frame, ensures compatibility with demanding industrial processes. The drive’s robust construction (91.1 x 243.4 x 25.4 in, 10869 lbs) and advanced features like energy recovery reduce operational costs and downtime.
Key specifications include a 575VAC input voltage, 2600 HP output, 2362A output current, and a voltage range of 525-690V. The NEMA 1 enclosure provides protection against dust and non-corrosive liquids, making it suitable for indoor industrial settings. The drive’s digital I/O extension module enables seamless integration with existing control systems, while the local/remote keypad allows for flexible operation and monitoring.

FENA-21
The FENA 21 DualPort module supports Three protocols Modbus-TCP, EtherNet/IP, and the PROFInet IO RT network. The Modbus-TCP protocol is simply the Modbus protocol used on top of Ethernet-TCP/IP. Modbus-TCP is an open Industrial Ethernet network which has been specified by the Modbus-IDA User Organization. EtherNet/IP is based on the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP), which is also the framework for both the ControlNet and DeviceNet network protocols. PROFInet IO RT is an open network based on the PI Organization standard.
