Overview
The ABB ACS800-17-0580-5+B054+C129+K466+M603 is a regenerative AC drive designed for heavy-duty industrial applications requiring energy recovery. Rated at 500 HP (373 kW) with a 643 A output current and 480 VAC input (380–500 V range), this drive delivers precise motor control while enabling energy savings through regenerative braking. The unit features a NEMA 1 / UL Type 1 (IP42) enclosure for indoor use, ensuring protection against dust and non-corrosive contaminants.
Key specifications include a 0580 kVA rating, 3-phase input/output, and a compact R8i frame measuring 91.1 x 48.4 x 25.4 inches (2314 x 1230 x 645 mm) with a weight of 2090 lbs (948 kg). The floor-mounted design supports local or remote operation via an LCD display and keypad, while the integrated EtherNet adapter enables Modbus TCP/IP communication for seamless integration into automation systems. Ideal for applications such as material handling, pumps, fans, and conveyors where energy efficiency and dynamic braking are critical.

FENA-21
The FENA 21 DualPort module supports Three protocols Modbus-TCP, EtherNet/IP, and the PROFInet IO RT network. The Modbus-TCP protocol is simply the Modbus protocol used on top of Ethernet-TCP/IP. Modbus-TCP is an open Industrial Ethernet network which has been specified by the Modbus-IDA User Organization. EtherNet/IP is based on the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP), which is also the framework for both the ControlNet and DeviceNet network protocols. PROFInet IO RT is an open network based on the PI Organization standard.
