Overview

The ABB Installation Products Carlon® XD6NM is a non-metallic expansion/deflection coupling designed for 2-inch Schedule 40/80 rigid PVC conduit. This innovative coupling provides a flexible connection, safely accommodating axial or parallel deflection of up to 3/4" and angular deflection of up to 30° from its relaxed position. It meets the requirements of 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC) Article 300.4(H) for use where raceways cross structural joints intended for expansion, contraction, or deflection in buildings, bridges, parking garages, and similar structures. Engineered for versatility, the Carlon coupling is suitable for indoor, outdoor, direct burial, or concrete-embedded applications. Its flexible natural black molded neoprene outer jacket, secured by tamperproof stainless steel straps, ensures superior protection and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for wet locations. The internal smooth gray PVC sleeve maintains a constant, smooth inner diameter in any position, facilitating easier wire pulling and preventing damage to wire insulation. Installation is significantly faster, up to five times quicker than traditional methods, and can lead to up to a 5-to-1 SKU reduction. The coupling ends and inner sleeve are constructed from smooth gray PVC, while the outer jacket is natural black molded neoprene with stainless steel jacket straps. This product is cULus Listed, CSA certified to CSA C22.2 No. 85, and UV resistant. The XD6NM coupling has a trade size of 2 inches, with Dimension A measuring 9.14 inches and Dimension B measuring 4.34 inches. Manufactured in the USA.
