Overview

The ABB E989N-CAR is a rugged, molded non-metallic junction box designed for demanding industrial and commercial electrical installations. Constructed from Noryl thermoplastic molding compound, this enclosure offers exceptional corrosion resistance and physical properties suitable for direct-burial applications. With dimensions of 8 inches in length, 8 inches in width, and 4 inches in depth, it provides ample space for wiring connections. The E989N-CAR boasts a NEMA 6P rating, ensuring protection against water ingress during prolonged submersion at a limited depth, as well as protection against falling dirt, hose-directed water, and external ice formation. It also maintains a minimum NEMA Type 4/4X rating. The junction box features a foam-in-place gasketed lid attached with stainless steel screws for a secure seal. Its operating temperature range is -250°F to 125°F, and it has a UL94V-2 flammability rating. This product is UL Listed and CSA Certified, meeting the requirements of the National Electrical Code® and Canadian Electrical Code for non-metallic junction boxes.
